| Additional Information | The Certified IPC Application Specialist (CIS) Course is a standards-based certification program with a validity of 2 years. Individuals that have completed the CIS course but have failed to pass a certification exam may attempt to retake the exam after the cool down period of 14 days. Candidates may opt to retest only the failed portion(s) of the certification written examination or the workmanship project, if completed within 90 calendar days following the initial failed exam. Candidates are afforded one complimentary retest of the failed portions of their certification written exam. Any subsequent attempts are subject to the retest fee. Participants are advised to bring your own laptops for online assessment. More Course Date: 10 - 14 Feb 2025 14 - 18 Jul 2025

The "IPC-7711 Rework of Electronic Assemblies" and the "IPC-7721 Repair and Modification of Printed Boards and Assemblies" established itself as the electronic industry's manuals for the guidelines on re-installing or replacng electric components and the ability to repair circuitry with minimum impact on quality and reliability. This course teaches the IPC recommended techniques, tools, equipment and materials required to perform removal, replacement, and repair operations on Plated Through Hole and Surface Mount Assemblies. Upon Successful completion of this course, Operators will be certified to perform Rework and Repairs based on the IPC 7711/7721 Procedures.
